The cruise that wasn't

Berlin to Prague without the advantage of water

The capital of the Czech Republic was the goal for a trip up the Elbe River, and the capital of Germany was thrown in for a good bookend adventure. Although the Viking longship Beyla and its sister Astrild were built with a shallow draft to ply the river, even they could not move in the shallow waters during our cruise. Hence, most of the sightseeing was done via motorcoach when not by foot.
